Practice Nurses: Anne Ellis, RGN & Vivien Page, RGN |
We offer a wide range of medical services including health promotion and
screening as well as diagnosis and treatment of illness. We hope you will
find the Practice friendly and sympathetic to your needs. We have a well-trained
team of nursing and administration staff to help us provide a high standard
of care.
In addition, we offer the following:
- Child health surveillance clinics
- Full contraceptive services including Mirena coil fitting
- Minor operations/cryocautery injections
The Practice is approved for training purposes and will have Registrars
working as part of the team. All these doctors will have already gained
several years experience in hospital specialities before working with
us at the Health Centre. In addition, we also teach ‘final year’
medical students from Imperial College, Guy’s, St Thomas’
and King’s College Medical Schools.
New patients. We strongly advise all new patients to
make an appointment with the Practice Nurse for a new patient check, so
we can obtain details of your medical history and current medication;
it takes some time before we receive your records from your previous doctor.
Appointments. To make an appointment please telephone
your practice's reception or visit the reception desk during opening hours.
- Routine appointments with the GPs may be
booked to a maximum of six weeks ahead.
- On the day appointments are also available.
- If it is necessary for you to see a health professional within
48 hours, please advise the practice receptionist. You will be
offered an appointment with the duty doctor or the Practice Nurse. Telephone
appointments are also available for consultations should you not need
to see a GP face-to-face.
Cancellations: If you are unable to keep your appointment,
please inform the Practice as soon as possible.
Complaints procedure. All general practitioners and
staff at the Practice use their very best endeavours to give patients
the service they expect and to which they are entitled. There are inevitably
occasions when we do not meet the high standards we set ourselves and
we appreciate patients bringing these to our attention.
If you are unable to obtain satisfaction from the member of staff directly
involved in your complaint and wish to take the matter further, then in
the first instance any complaints about administrative matters should
be addressed to the Practice Manager. Please ask at Reception for
a copy of the practice complaints procedure.
