SWINE FLU
Swine Flu Vaccination (Q&A)
Swine flu symptoms are similar to those produced by ordinary seasonal flu - fever, cough, sore throat, aches, chills and fatigue. If you have flu symptoms see the National Pandemic Flu Service website at www.direct.gov.uk/pandemicflu. The website is available 24 hours a day and is designed to identify the symptoms of swine flu and provide authorisation to access antivirals. Two telephone lines are also available and will be open from 8am - midnight. Call 0800 1 513 513 for information and 0800 1 513 100 for treatment. Those with serious underlying illness, who are pregnant or whose condition suddenly worsens should ring their GP if they are concerned they have swine flu. In order to minimise the risk of infection, please do not visit your GP surgery without obtaining advice first. |
